Radiators can have their cores replaced. This is mostly required when its core is leaking badly, beyond its usable life span, too damaged to be repaired, fins are corroded, or when the header plate is cracked but its tanks and brackets are still in good conditions. In replacing only its core section, a radiator can still function with the rest of its original components. This reduces costs tagged to replacing an entire radiator.
